Need A Restaurant In/Near Indio CA

Staying in a house between the Rancho La Quinta Golf Club and the Indian Palms Country Club. Looking for a restaurant with a friendly corkage policy and good food. Can be fine dinning or casual as long as the food is good.

Hoping there is something reasonably close by.

Thanks!

Jason

Jason, we spend a lot of time in the winter at LaQuinta. When we have guests on the weekend and don’t want to cook at home we go to Arnie Palmers which is really close by. Good food, good atmosphere and a really nice wine program. Sure its a celebrity owned restaurant which we usually abhor, but for us we have always had a great time and good food and really good service. Sure there is a lot of really good hole in the wall Italian and Mexican joints but for what you are looking for this may just work out for you. Check their website to see the menu’s. They have recently gone to an I-Pad wine list format which we had fun with on our last dinner party there.

Cheers,

Bud

Try Morgan’s at the la Quinta hotel. It’s by Jimmy Schmidt of rattle snake restaurant detroit fame.I don’t know the corkage policy but the food is good and the room elegant.

Morgans is very good, corkage is $30. The only draw back is the weekend crowd can be overwhelming at times.

Cheers,

Bud

Morgan’s is our favorite as well and Lisa Tussing’s guidance has been great.

For something lower key and different we enjoyed The Cafe at Shields, unsure of their corkage fee.

Cool. Thanks guys.

Jason

We are down at the La Quinta casa, going over to Morgans tonight, will check in later.

Cheers,

Bud

We had a great meal again at Morgans. The seasonal prix fixed was centered around various squash and squab, looked interesting but passed in favor of a wagyu rib eye. Carolyn had the short rib which was really nice. We drank a 95 Lewis Merlot from our cellar with the beef, great pairing.

Cheers,

Bud
