SAUTÉ ASPARAGUS

I did this for the first time to sauté white asparagus in a big sauté pan. Quelle surprise, fantastic…such full of flavor! Serve it with 1-2 tbsp herbs yoghurt and white meat or without meat.

Martin,
when I think of roast I think of an oven.
From the pictures, it looks like you did a pan sauté over low heat in butter not a roast.
I would like to see how you plated the dish. Yogurt on top or below?

good to know, I will correct it.

Just some yoghurt beside. The asparagus taste such good you could even eat it without yoghurt sauce. On the other hand it gives some freshness to the dish.

Is all asparagus Spargel it just the white asparagus?

I am still getting the hang of German, but spargel is just asparagus.

Grüner spargel = green asparagus
Weißer Spargel = white asparagus

YES

We have also green asparagus, then you say _Grüner Sparge_l, but green asparagus comes almost always from France or Greece.
AND green asparagus is relatively new on the german market, since around 10 years I would say.
