I am going to be renting a house in July about 40 minutes east of Porto. Anyone know any particularly good restaurNts near there?

So, like, in the Douro valley? If so, D.O.C. , on the banks of the Douro, is great.

I had read DOC was good in some travel mag. Thanks for the first hand recommendation.

DOP is run by the same people as DOC, it is in Porto. Both are excellent, I slightly prefer DOC.
Pedro Lemos in Porto is one of the best restaurants in Portugal. I’ve had one meal at the Yeatman, it was very good.
Quinta do Portal has an excellent restaurant on the Douro.
