Boston Restaurants -- BYO?

I am trying to think of the name of a restaurant. When my son was in college in Boston we went up a few times (like 1999-2005) and back on the old Squires board EVERYONE told me to go to this restaurant mainly because of the wine list. As I recall we ate on the second floor and had a view of the Boston Common across the street. The food was darn good too, mainly French.

But evidently the restaurant is gone and I just wanted to remember the name. My brain is telling me something like Etoile but I am pretty sure that is wrong.

Anyone else remember this place?

Sounds like you may be referring to Troquet on Boylston St. However I believe it is still there.

It sounds like Aujourd’hui. Was it in Four Seasons hotel?

Troquet! Got to check that out. Thanks Brian!

And it’s still there. I may go up with my wife for her library conference in June and Troquet is on my agenda.

Where else should we eat in Boston?

Do they do BYOB? Asian + BYO often works out well.

Frank, if you call ahead, Flemmings will accommodate you. Great wine list, Legal Park Square is pretty good and has amazing pricing.
