Union Square area recco.

Hi all; We will be seeing the new John Lennon play on December 30th. Where should we go for a pre-theater dinner? Adjoining areas are great as well.
Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Marshall,

We had a great time sitting at the bar at Colibri http://colibrimexicanbistro.net. One of the most extensive tequila lists in the city, and great appetizers as well.

438 Geary St. next to Hotel Diva.

Have fun in The City! Go Giants! ;-D

Excellent Spanish raciones:

which Union Square NY or SF?

 Suzanne; Good question! New York, New York.
“Start spreading the news!”

Next he’ll be saying "We’re going to ‘The City’ " and expecting us to understand. [whistle.gif]

edited to add (after NYC-SF was clarified below): Casa Mono is a pleasant 8-minute walk from Union Square in NYC.

Thanks Ramon…we have been there and really enjoyed it. However, since we don’t get to New York as often as we used to, I would like to try something different. I have a car so adoining areas…or even close by like the Village, SoHo, virtually anywhere is good.
Thanks again
Marshall

Tough crowd!

But, thanks for the Colibri recommendation, T-B! Looks great!

Cheers,
Andrew

Grammercy Tavern is cool. Ask about pre theatre fixed price plans.

Tocqueville just west of US is great. Been there several times and they always deliver.

+1 on Toqueville, went many times. They allow BYO (might be a two bottle limit)

Damn!!! I hate agreeing with Barry [rofl.gif] but Tocqueville is high on my list!

Cheers!
