Seriously Japan Burger King?!?!?!

A Raiders burger. I am in!

I’ve had squid ink pasta in Italy. Just as black. The world eats different than us.

Looks like a zombie burger to me.

I would eat it.

They should call it the Darth Burger.

Taste may be King, but looks sure as hell aren’t!

That’s tough to look at.

“It’s like, ‘how much more black could this be?’ and the answer is ‘None. None more black.’”

I’ve eaten squid ink pasta and the color, for that particular dish, is not a turn-off for me. However a black bun is reminiscent of burnt bun and that holds no appeal for me. Similarly a black dairy product looks “bad” to me. I’d give it a try if I had the opportunity but I don’t think I’d be very excited…

There’s a tradition of black bread in Eastern Europe (mostly Rye based) and that sauce could be the mole at any good Oaxacan joint, what’s the problem?

That bun doesn’t look anything like any black bread I’ve ever seen.

I’ve seen black shiny rolls like that in Russian markets and even some fru fru hipster specialty bakeries.

squid ink buns are pretty popular in chinese and japanese bakeries.

And fru fru [sic] hipster places apparently.

there used to be black pizzas served by strawberry cones…
instead of squid ink, i think they said that they used bamboo charcoal in the dough…
