Question about Harvest Internship

Hi All -
This might seem like a silly question, but hear me out.
I have just signed on at a larger winery for their upcoming harvest season, which would be my first harvest, and have a question about hours/living.
Basically - I have a dog who I would be bringing with me. I know that the winery I’ll be working at will have two shifts, so I’ll never work longer than 12 hours, but from past experience – will I have time to run home at lunch?
Similarly - how much of the harvest season will be requiring 12 hour days?

Almost never. Depending on the winery, they’ll often have lunch for you to keep you there.

Talk to the asst. winemaker and get a good feel for what harvest looks like- If the main question is about being able to let the dog out, I’d only bring the dog if you are comfortable leaving him / her 12+hrs, 6-7 days a week for 4-7 weeks.
