Hi all -
Yesterday I purchased a 2012 Trimbach Gewurztraminer to bring to a bbq - I thought it would go well with the grilled sausage and cheese on the appetizer menu. I was expecting it to be dry, similar to the 2011 Trimbach Riesling I tasted a few weeks ago - but instead it was fairly sweet. It also seemed to have a little effervescence when it was first poured - and it had a very short finish - it disappeared almost immediately on the palate.
Curious - is this typical for this wine - or could I have had an atypical bottle?
