1958 Inglenook

Just got a bottle of 1958 Inglenook Cask F-10. I never had pre-62 inglenook before, which, I think, is the last vintage in the hands of John Daniel.

I am wondering if anyone has some experience with those old inglenook. Is there a huge difference between different casks?

Thanks

David

Recent dinner;
1982 Lanson Brut en magnum
1996 Marcassin E-Block Hudson Vineyard Chard (my only disappointment of the evening …)
1994 Zind Humbrecht Rangen Riesling
1961 Charles Krug Vintage Select
1961 Inglenook
1970 Louis Martini Special Select
1970 Ducru
1991 Zind Humbrecht Clos Jebsal Pinot Gris SGN
And; thank you to The Chief for bringing 1971 PX …

The '61 Inglenook was unbelieveable ,fresh & stayed alive over an hour & a half in the glass !!

Ned,

Nice lineup. Is the inglenook special cask or just regular bottle

Just regular bottle. Really good !

I believe the cask designation was their equivalent of reserve. I don’t think more than one cask per vintage was ever declared.

Eric,

There were more than one cask for a certain vintage. I have seen cask F-10,11 and 30 just for the 1958 vintage.
