Best spicy bloody mary mix?

Looking for a mix generally available. We have company coming in a few weeks that love bloody marys.

zing zang is my favorite

Ballast Point’s is phenomenal

Zing Zang is always at the top, for me.

The generally available is the stickler.

For wide distribution, I like these guys.

A little harder to find. Maybe a Whole Foods type item, but by far the best I’ve had.

Lava is pretty good. http://lavabmm.com/

I find McClures a little to pickley…shocker I’m sure. Would love to try ballast point

It has a cucumber/pickle brine edge that’s for sure. I like that, but I could see why some may not.

I used to enjoy a brand called Dirty Tony’s. I don’t know if it is still available.

Zing Zang is a nice one as well.

I get the McClure’s, as it is local to MI, and it ranges in price from $7 to $10 for 12 oz here in MI.
I don’t think it is very spicy, fyi, but it is my preferred. I really am interested in a mix that is spicier than mcclure’s.
I have to admut that 90% of my Bloody’s are when we go out for brunch. One place uses zing zang, the other two places we frequent, make their own

Another vote for Zing Zang with celery salt and lime

I have always used Zing Zang, but I was at a bar in Minneapolis and their mix was way better. I asked what it was and they said Whiskey Willies. They used to use Zing Zang, but just found Whiskey Willies better so they stuck with it.

Preservation and Co
Picked it up on Amazon
A bit spicier than I like but good layers of varied flavors

+1 for Ballast Point.

I like Zing Zang and can always doctor to make spicier. Making batches from scratch is fun too since it is mostly just layering in a lot of spicy, savory, and briny elements, all things I really enjoy.

Haven’t made it in a while, but when I did I’d thrown in some or all of the following depending on what was on hand:
good tomato juice
beef broth (use low sodium)
olive juice
pickle brine
tabasco
A-1
Worcestershire sauce
clam juice
celery salt
black pepper
lemon juice
sriracha

Also, another good way to add spice IMO, is to take a bottle of decent vodka, but needn’t be top grade - something like Tito’s or even Stoli - and soak two Serrano peppers that have been cut through the middle lengthwise with a knife (but not all the way on either end) for about two to three days, tasting for spice level. Because the level of heat can vary so much sometimes two days is great, sometimes three isn’t enough. This also makes for a great thing to just sip on, preferably with good pickles to chase. We make this for vacation each year and it is quite popular.

Zing Zang and add Tabasco Reserve - delicious

I love bloody marys and have tried many mixes. Personally, I think Zing Zang is crap compared to most of the more artisanal ones. The best packaged mix I’ve tried by far is Stirrings Simple Bloody Mary. The biggest thing that sets it apart from the others, and I’ve tried some side-by-side comparisons, is that the Stirrings tastes like ripe tomatoes. Almost none of the others have that delicious flavor of quality tomatoes that I would actually eat raw with no seasoning. Plus, their spice mix is classic and very well done, and the ingredients are all recognizable food products. Check out the ingredients on Zing Zang and you’ll see how far from the case that is for theirs. I haven’t tried Ballast Point, so no comment on that. I find the spice level on the Stirrings to be pretty good, but if you like them really spicy, you could always add a bit of hot sauce.

Just had this stuff. The Real Dill. New leader in the clubhouse for best spicy mix.
