Do you think beer needs to be in a wine cooler environment to age correctly or just normal room temp of 72 ish OK ?
60ish is better than 72
Yeah I would want my beer as cool if not cooler than my wine.
i store my sours/stouts at the same temp as my wine, some bottles even encourage that temperature on their labels. IPAs, i put it in the firdge
I have a number of craft beer collectors that store their beer with me. Only difference is they store their bottles upright, not on their sides.
I store as many as I can fit in my wine cellar, but have many that are just in some dark cabinets at room temp (Stouts, sours, barleywines etc…) I have never been able to tell any difference in quality over about 6 years or so. I’m not saying room temp is correct just that in a fairly large sample size it hasn’t become an issue.
