I haven’t had this year’s, but it’s typically the essence of the Holidays, with gobs of christmas spice on the nose. Sadly, this doesn’t show up anywhere in the Bay Area, but Total Wine gets in in SoCal, and Sacramento areas. I ordered a few to pick up on our drive to San Diego at Christmas. Highly recommended.
It is a very good beer, and will age a few yars as well. FWIW I like it better than the St Bernardus Christmas Ale.
Thanks, Bob. Never aged one, I’ve been afraid of losing the Christmas spice aromas, and it’s a hard one for me to find here in the Bay Area (lot of places won’t ship beer, and it’s a little cost prohibitive, anyway).
