IMHO Mandolin is one of the top beers produced in the US. It certainly doesn’t get any better than this. I managed to get one of the last cases sold by Blue Mountain this year. It is a very unusual style for them. Generally, this is a dubbel style ale. Drinks kind of like a Duval, or a La Fin du Monde. This batch, however, has a very dark flavor. It is hard to describe- kind of tastes like a triple, but drinks like a dubbel. Whatever, it is still really good. Since I had to buy a whole case, and don’t usually drink that much of any one beer, I am willing to trade 3 or 4 750ml bottles to someone. Just let me know what you’ve got if you’re interested.
