SoCal beer share - Woodshop

Anyone heard of Woodshare…worth going? Also, what is protocol? I’m used to wine offlines, but never a bottle share.

I’m going to the LA one.

Typically people bring 3-4 750ml of beer to share to wood shop if they want to share. Some of the CRAZIEST beers get poured as well. Think of it as the La Paulee of beer without the somm organizing you based on what you brought. You don’t have to share if you don’t want to. Chris gets a ton of kegs from really cool places that are unlimited as well. It’s a beer lovers dream. He also caps it so it doesn’t get to busy.

You’ll have an incredible time if you just stick to the kegs.

Thanks Charlie…most of my stored beers are Lost Abbey, which really aren’t as special here…and they are 375ml. Gotta go looking for some fun stuff!

give you a sense of was opened last year

The guy who organizes it supplies a lot of the peaches that many of the sour producers use in socal. Lost Abbey’s veritas 15 was their peaches. Same as Modern Times and a few other places.

Matt, did you end up buying tickets to the san diego one? I know it just sold out this week. The LA one sold out in days
