Duvel has done excellent work with Boulevard and Ommegang IMO.
Better than selling to AmBev or private equity, imho. At least duvel respects the craft more than profits to shareholders (at least i assume with them being family owned still)
+1. Everything already amazing about Boulevard has so far been preserved or improved. I am close with many people at the brewery and have not heard one peep complaining.
Interesting. I guess this just means larger footprint for Firestone Walker right? National distro, just like Boulevard and Ommegang.
FW uses Duval’s east coast and mid west facilities to brew core Firestone Walker beers to distribute around the country.
Definitely sold (partnered as they’re calling it) to the right folks.
I’m told they’ll increase production slowly and brew some stuff out of Ommegang’s facility.
I’m seeing Firestone cans now, which can only be a good thing. Blvd cans was a big thing as well.
