Whisky Bible 2015 Winners

Anybody have any thoughts on this year’s list, or on any of the whiskies on it?

The top three are Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013, William Larue Weller 2013, and Sazerac Rye 18yo 2013. I was perhaps most surprised to see the English Whisky Company come away with the top prize for European whisky… I don’t have fond memories of any of their stuff, but then, I haven’t tried it in awhile.

I’ve never seen the yamazaki sherry cask before, I really like the 12/18.

Yeah, I really like the 18 a lot. Not particularly surprised to see Yamazaki at the top of the list.

Wish I could get my hands on the sherry cask, but I’m betting it’s impossible to find now (if it wasn’t already).

I’m curious how the sherried Yamazaki truly stands up to either a Glendronach Revival or an Aberlour Abu’Nadh. Jim Murray is the RP of the whisky world.

Some of the selections are interesting to say the least, however, Weller does make a damn good American Whiskey.
