I am incredibly intrigued by this growler..

It looks like a flip top from what I can tell, but never know if places will actually fill it.

my only concern is that a lot of breweries won’t fill up a growler if it has the keg attachment poking out, from what I’ve read it is a flip top. But the biggest issue, is for the keg to actually pour, you’re only supposed to fill the growler up 75% of the way.

Positive, no sweating on the growler, keeps beer cold

Is it a Corabrew?

Very cool. I doubt if you would have a problem having it filled in California. They get icky picky in the Midwest with growlers (many won’t even fill a growler that is not theirs) -

They are pretty picky in ca about what type gets filled. Even when blank.

This is really just a mini-keg. As long as the fill was capped in foam, it should stay fresh for quite a while and you don’t have to drink the whole thing once you pour out of it. I like it.

My friend and I had a discussion about this thing. It boiled down to we CAN’T afford NOT to buy it. Our biggest concerns with growlers is that we can’t finish it by ourselves before it goes flat. We both live around a bunch of breweries. Each breweries most expensive beer is $7 for a 22oz, a fill of 64oz is $15 at most. So every 3rd bottle of beer is almost free. Say we save $7, after 10-15 fill ups the thing would be paid for! Then we’d just be MAKING money afterwards!

On top of that, since we won’t be in a rush to finish the growler, we can drink it slowly and drink less per sitting. If we’re drinking less per sitting we’ll be getting similar satisfaction but at a cheaper price as we refill less.

THEN since we’re drinking less, we’re not ingesting as many calories. Our daily intake would be going down and we’d get skinnier. If we get skinnier our wives will be happy.

So all in all, I think our wives should buy this for us. [snort.gif]

Charlie, your logic is impeccable!

Even if you couldn’t get it filled at a brewery, just fill it with the brewery’s growler when you get home.

Absolutely brilliant Charlie. LMFAO [cheers.gif]

We are the worst state (Ca.) by far when it comes to growler regulations.

Love this thing, and I totally overlooked this obvious solution - Thanks Linda!

I feel like you’d introduce too much oxygen going from growler to growler as well as loss of carbonation.

Might be so, but might not. I’d try it, but get growler #1 REALY cold and gas growler #2 with CO@ before transfer. Worth a test at least. Might be fine.

yeah it’s worth a shot, i’m sick of screw top growlers going flat within 7 days. Now where can i get co2 to inject it with…

What about this: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1620669801/synek-any-beer-ever-made-fresh-on-your-counter ?

Or this: http://growltap.com

Personally I like the first link here w/bladder growlers. Interesting to see 3 different solutions to the same problem

The bladder growlers are impossible to fill without introducing air. We will not fill them at the brewery, nor will a number of other breweries in the PDX area.
