CA Retailers/Wineries as of Nov 1

Thanks for posting this Carrie. For those of us who have been living under a rock, who are these “Third Party Providers” and how prevalent is the practice?

This is how it was explained to me:

Basically what ABC is saying is… if, as a licensed wine retailer you use a marketing company like XYZ to peddle your product, you have to show who the licensed retailer is, where the product is coming from… and that retailer has to have control over things like pricing, collecting $$, fulfillment, etc… in the past, marketing companies like that have just taken on like they were the retailers… doing the marketing, advertising, even collecting the money and shipping the wines, even though they themselves held no license… just like XYZ didn’t when they took over ?*!e.com
