Using Social Media to attract millenials

Hello all - I’m writing my post Wine and Spirits Educational Trust thesis (Level 5 Honours) on if, how, and why wineries are using social media to attract millenials and would be curious about your thoughts.

I’m also tryingto find approbriate subjects for a focus group. Any idea on where to find/attract the below would be so helpful!

I think I should go to craigs list and say this:

21 - 32
*some college education
*40,000 -and up income
*buy wine in wine store, supermarket, or online at least 3 times a month
*have set up facebook or twitter - utility afterwards not necessary
*have visited at least one wine blog

I am Marisa D’Vari, story@awinestory.com

i use twitter as part of our outreach/soft marketing for our two wineries.

you can find us

if you think i can be of assistance in your study drop me a line on twitter or send me PM.

Here is a really CLASSIC case study:

Twitter 10....Veuve Clicquot 0 - WINE TALK - WineBerserkers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You should talk with Paul Mabray at Vintank. They did an interesting study on wine and social and they’re always working on new things.

Mixing old school PR and Social Media is a bad idea- The people that spin for a living don’t understand transparency…

Hey, welcome Kmurph! [cheers.gif]

This is why people specializing in Social Media will be called upon more and more often.
