We are planning on taking our wine to the London International Wine Fair next month, but I want to line up some Merchants (Importers / Distributors before we head up. Any suggestions for me?

It depends what you are looking for. An agent/importer or retailers or on-trade wholesalers. It also depends on where you are shipping from and what volume and price you require. I could give you some tips if you let me know those things.

I met him at Vinitaly this year and we spent a bit of time together, and I can attest that he’s a truly likeable, smart and savvy wine importer (in Chester). He put me in touch with his sister-in-law, who founded Salcheto winery in Montepulciano and now runs Grifalco in Venosa, and whose wines I’ll be bringing into the States. Anyway, I scarcely know him, but he really impressed me as an honest and good person.

I’ll shoot him an email and give him a heads-up on you as well.

The 928S has never run better but we are good friends with a neighbor in our apartment building in Almeria who happens to be the ownwer of a new Porche dealership in Almeria. I get you hooked up to get the car of choice fix when you come! Nothing like it around these mountani curves! [wink.gif]
