Oh wow! This 82 Reserve is drinking spectacularly well! Fantastic acidity, still a lot of fruit, soft oak notes and long savory finish indicates a lot of life left in this 36 year old! Excellent!

It’s time to start drinking my last 4 bottles from a case of the '82. Looking forward to them!
1982, if they picked between the rains, some good wines were made.
Look back to the 70(Unfined and Unfiltered bottlings–no reserve yet), 74, 75 and 77 for some winners which are still kickin’ it.
Mondavi made great wines in the Bordelaise style and stayed with it, thank goodness.
High praise for his marketing and his wines, a Napa giant.
