Walks a fine line between being rich and ripe and lively citrusy acidity. Rich tropical fruits. Layered and unctuous, some petrol coming on. Sweetness so perfect with my spicy cumin lamb noddles. Coming into its own. I’d be happy to ride this out for a few more years if I had more. quite nice.
This is a producer that’s been quite variable for me — very hit and miss, with the misses being “boring-good” and the hits being downright excellent. Considering how affordable and easy-to-find the back vintages are, I’m sure I’ll continue my ongoing dance with Gunderloch.
