TN: 2011 Trimbach Riesling Alsace Grand Cru Geisberg (France, Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru)

Plenty of petrol on the nose along with lime blossom, slate and musk. The palate is rich and layered with truffle honey flavours. It is full and heady and has plenty of flavour in the mouth and decent length.

never seen this bottling–thanks.

Trimbach has sorta gotten away from it’s insistence on brand over vineyard site in labeling. They’ve started bottling some wines with Grand Cru names. I even have a few bottles from 1996 labeled “M” for the Mambourg vineyard. That said, they’re not changing the labels on Frederic Emile and Clos Ste. Hune.

Some info here Alan. http://www.trimbach.fr/en/maison-trimbach-is-releasing-a-new-great-wine/

I have the 2009 version of this wine. Not tried one yet.

What is the most recent vintage of CSH are they pouring at the Domain?
