Your favorites from Saint-Aubin?

I had never tried white Burgundy until a few weeks ago, when a friend opened a bottle of 2014 Domaine Sylvain Langoureau Saint-Aubin. What other whites from Saint-Aubin do people enjoy that I may be able to explore?

Saint Aubin used to be a value play in white burg. It still is to some degree but the top names: Lamy and PYCM(Pierre Yves Colin Morey) are getting into the Puligny Montrachet pricing.

Langoureau, Gilles Boutin, Prudhon are some more names. There are many more producers in Saint Aubin were value can be found.

You may also want to look at Auxey-Duresse producer Lafouge.

Hubert Lamy. Never have had a bad bottle.

2014 PYCM Saint-Aubin La Pucelle

This.

Combine this with 2014.

I have not had a ton, but I really like 2014 white Burgundy. Especially Lamy.

The 2015 1er cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien from Domaine Larue is already showing absolutely wonderfully. You clearly sense the warm vintage but the heat is kept beautifully in check and it comes across as well balanced and not over-oaked. In Denmark it’s ~ $29,- and doesn’t have a lot of competitors IMHO.

I don’t really know the producer but am eager to find out more!

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly- any vintage

Thanks for the tips! Will seek out some PYCM and Hubert Lamy.

+1

I didn’t buy near enough of the 2014. Good luck finding any now.

I know… [cry.gif]

The more I have Prudhon, the more I seem to prefer it. I’m 3-for-3 on corked or damaged bottles from Lamy, so maybe not a fair comparison on that end.

In addition to the mentioned above:

Marc Colin (I think at least 8 diff. Premier Crus)
