TNs: 1999 Patz & Hall "Pisoni Ranch" Pinot Noir and 1993 Ridge Geyserville

Tasted today (7/20/17)
1999 Patz & Hall “Pisoni Ranch” Pinot Noir
In excellent condition, this 1999 exhibited a medium ruby color with an enticing nose of floral and blue fruit aromas. On the palate it was smoothly textured with impeccable balance, a sense of elegance, and excellent length. It lacked the layering and complexity of great Pinot but was a nice surprise that I had no idea was in my cellar. My score 90 points
1993 Ridge Geyserville
This vintage of Geyserville was 60% Zinfandel with the balance Petite Sirah, Alicante, and Carignan. Still lively and deeply colored, on the palate it was ripe and concentrated with good balance and length. If I had tasted it blind, I think my guess would have been a really good bottle of red wine. Wish I could remember what it was like 20 years ago. My score 90 points
