1969 Michel Buisson-Charles: Meursault Bouches-Cheres
I purchased this bottle in Burgundy some time ago. The cork came out in one piece and had done its job well. The clear amber colour was fair for its age. A nutty nose with hints of green herbs and no oxidation. With air, a dash of caramel. The mouthfeel has a medium weight and richness to it. There is some freshness and more nuttiness with a hint of spice following through. With air in the glass, the wine softened and weakened marginally. Perfectly mature, I will drink my remaining bottle in the next 3 years. It paired very well with my poached salmon fillet and green salad.
