Do you know about Vino Vial?

A local independent newspaper wine columnist recently wrote about using this product on a 2012 Dunn Howell Mountain cab after first tasting it in a glass. Much to his surprise, the wine was much more approachable, the fruit and spice was much more expressive and the mouthfeel was significantly enhanced. He commented, he was shocked.

The Vino Vial, hand blown in Bohemia, comes from a German company, VitaJuwel founded by Ewald Eisen. It employs amethyst, white quartz crystals and a small amount of garnet suspended in an alcohol/water solution that they claim makes water healthier.

I`m such a skeptic when it comes to gimmicks that are purported to improve what is in the bottle, but knowing this writer, I have more of an openness to at least give it a test. Anyone on this board have any experience with it?
