TN: 2001 Edmunds St. John Los Robles Viejos Rozet Vineyard

2001 Edmunds St. John Los Robles Viejos Rozet Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (5/25/2017)
I purchased this as part of a library release from the winery, and it was in perfect condition. Just a few minutes to warm up from cellar temp was all it needed to show red fruit, leather, cedar, herb and earth in a swirling, captivating package.

Just amazing wine that is drinking very well, but still has ages to go. I would not even call it fully mature, but I have no issues drinking it now because it is so lip-smacking good!

Man, these ESJ notes kill me!
I drank though a couple cases of the md 90s and early '00s a few years back and I wish I had more!!!
This sounds lovely, David.

A common refrain (except from RP) with ESJ wines.

That’s why I went back for a second shipment of the library wines.

That wine has always been a favorite of mine, even among many ESJ favorites. It’s a pity there were only a couple of vintages.
