TN: 2014 Faiveley Mercurey 1er Cru Clos des Myglands

2014 Faiveley Mercurey 1er Cru Clos des Myglands - France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Mercurey 1er Cru (5/21/2017)
Wow, fighting above it’s weight for sure, with very nice dark cherry fruit, plenty of acidity, some fine black tea tannins, very crunchy and fresh. Mouthwateringly tasty. Almost has a great Beaujolais feel to it. Not sure how this will age, but it doesn’t need to. (91 pts.)

Sounds good. Always a winner.

That used to be a standby for me back in the '70’s when I was struggling to put every dollar I could back into a start up business. I’m happy to hear that the wine is still satisfying the Burgundy itch at an affordable price.
