2015 Domaine des Niales Rhedon-Marin Mâcon-Villages Vieilles Vignes
Pleasant, fresh, easy to drink.
2015 Chateau Vitallis Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes
A bit tight 30 min after opening, perfumed nose, has some potential.
2014 Jacques Bavard St-Romain Blanc
A little underwhelming; was hoping for a bit more richness.
2012 Domaine Philippe Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Maltroie"
A little tight and vegetal but has decent structure.
2012 Domaine Philippe Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Chenevottes"
Much more open and accessible. Good acidity. Nice wine.
2013 Domaine Michel Niellon Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Maltroie"
Best of the whites, rich, well integrated, drinking beautifully.
2015 Jean Michel Dupre “1935” Morgon
Much better than the last time I had this; def needs some air.
2013 Domaine Philippe Colin Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Les Chenes’ Rouge
This was phenomenal but needed some ait to open up: cranberry and red and dark fruits with great structure; 1-2 years would really help.
2014 Domaine Faiveley Mercurey "Clos Rond"
Actually a bit tight. Much better with food.
2014 Domaine Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Damodes"
Actually the most accessible of the reds when I first sampled them. Nice complexity and pure red fruit, well integrated tannins, beautiful wine.
2014 Domaine Arlaud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
A solid wall of tannins, even after 15 minutes of swirling. Nowhere near ready. Shows good potential though. Needs 10-15 years minimum.
2014 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru (Monopole)
Surprisingly accessible and beautiful. Very nice pure fruits with notes of cranberry, cassis, and other red fruit, long langorous finish.
