TN: 2015 Jolie Laide Trousseau Gris Fanucchi Wood Road, 2014 Jolie Laide Grenache Syrah Rossi Ranch

We had these two Jolie-Laide wines over dinner recently.

I love when skin contact whites are done right (for me anyway), when the skin contact brings out aroma and some phenolics without the wine becoming a terpene mess. The 2015 Jolie-Laide Trousseau Gris does it right. It is delicious and a bit thought provoking. Sweet blood orange, grapefruit, herbs and a bit of phenolic tannin to keep you reaching for more. Very food friendly, beautiful wine.

The 2014 Jolie-Laide Grenache Syrah, Rossi Ranch has effusive aromas of fresh cherries and a nice floral component. Fresh cherries and wild sweet strawberries in the mouth with a slight feral note which enhanced the flavors. Good acidity, ripe tannins and excellent balance this is drinking mighty fine now with room to improve.

Everything we have tasted from Jolie-Laide has been top notch. The above are two examples.
