2010 Christine de Mianville Jasnieres 'Les Cotieres'

Slightly oxidized light gold color. A little baked apple, but delicious ginger, lanolin, lychee flavors with nice palate weight and a bit of an acid kick at the end. The wine will not last all that long, I think, with the oxidation, but very enjoyable and delicious now. I opened it to a have a glass or two with a light dinner, and most of it is now gone (Oops, as they say).

I found Christine via Envoyer a few years ago. We actually visited her and her husband Bernard on the way thru the Loire a few years ago–a tiny estate (400 cases when we visited), very nice detailed dry wines. She has two tiny vineyards and a third on the way. Haven’t seen her wines since–most all were going to restaurants in France. They’ve been very tasty wines, though with a bit of a tendency to oxidize.
