Inky dark purple almost to the rim.
One of the first things that pops to mind smelling this wine - beyond the melange of aromas - is poise. This wine is obviously well-crafted and from the first sniff appears to be impeccably balanced.
Subtle toasty French oak embrace the other aromas in this wine: blueberry cream, currant, vanilla, violets and blue flowers.
The wine is eminently drinkable if youthful today. Likely to unwind into something with more complexity and expressivity with a few years.
Hard to nitpick with this wine today but if I were to say what else I would like to see here, it would be more mid-palate depth
Well done.
