TN: Tempier Tourtine 2006

Dark purple at center, a rather lighter red-purple at rim.

On the nose, scents of coffee, kirsch, wintergreen, black cherry. Also an overlay of rubberiness, presumably hydrogen sulfide from this low-acid Mourvedre-predominant blend.

On the palate, the primary flavors are of warm red fruits, lightly cooked red and dark fruits. Less dominant is a pleasant touch of green herbiness. Subtle lasting finish, with supple tannins and a sweet kick of fruit that is a pleasant combination: this wine is very nice right now.

Thanks for the notes. I posted on the 2005 plain rouge a week or so ago, which was also showing very nicely but could use some more time.
