Very nice last night with my pizza…

Lovely mature and sound Folatieres. Smells slightly honeyed with lemon and toast notes. It’s got a nice palate presence and texture, rather lush, but a wiry, saline spine braces and provides bits of structure. There’s a savory, toasty- simmering stock note that comes on with air. Terrific showing at age 25. Still some gas in the tank, too.

Nice note Dennis. That honey comes from the slight botrytis in the 1992s. I like that little bit. It adds an exotic flavor. Not overdone.

Ok. That makes sense. Didn’t know that.
It was definitely there. Thanks, Don!

Where are the notes on the pizza?

Nothing special, just a bacon and sweet onion from a local shop.
