TN: 1992 Müller-Catoir Mußbacher Eselshaut Riesling Beerenauslese

1992 Müller-Catoir Mußbacher Eselshaut Riesling Beerenauslese - Germany, Pfalz (1/21/2017)
The deep bronze color of this wine suggested that age and botrytis might have taken center stage, but that could not have been further from the truth. There was an immediate aroma of orange blossom, and the fruit still retained some freshness, bolstered by some of the expected dried fruit and spice tones. Medium bodied and with sweetness in balance with the acidity, it was a very drinkable versus sippable wine. I sat with a glass of this for a couple of hours, and the fresh orange blossom that captivated me at first sniff never faded. It was right there all night. Delicious stuff that was at peak, though it sure seemed as though there was plenty of time in hand.

I totally applaud the thing you did with that funky B there.

actually, it’s a double s. Hold s on iPhone and you can do it, too! ß

Yep. Much easier than on a keyboard.

And anyway, I did it 13 years ago when I created the wine in CellarTracker.

Wonderful note.
