Over the past couple of years I have been interested in cabernet sauvignon wines from cool climates thanks to Paumanok’s beautiful 2010 Grand Vintage CS. In looking through the Loire Valley possibilities I came across the small Anjou Villages Brissac(AVB) AOC which seems to have cabernet sauvignon and franc equally planted. I was able to find, and purchase, a 50/50 CS/CF wine from Domaine Richou that was absolutely delightful. I hope that I’m wrong but it seems that very few of the cabernet sauvignon based wines from ABV make it to our shores. Does anyone know if there are others available in the US?
