TN: 2011 Morey-Blanc Meursault 1er Cru Charmes

I’ve had a couple of good '11s lately, maybe too soon here.

Dumped in decanter for 15 mins. Fairly open on the palate in that it’s drinkable and there’s a good depth of white fruit and hints of butterscotch and stone. Right now, though, it’s really showing a heady dose of acid and the back side is tart and tightens a bit. Young and rather cool, I feel there is stuffing here, but I’ll wait a bit on my next bottle.

I dare say I like 11 better than 12 or 13 for the higher end white burgs. I found the 11 Olivier Leflaive Setilles a bit dilute compared to the knockout 10 and 14.

Thanks, Fred. I would tend to agree with the few I’ve had.
