^ yup. The only reason I opened this thread. Thoughts someone was going to be the King Under the Mountain.
I stopped by the vineyard to try this wine with some friends over the summer. It is well made, the facility is immaculate, and they have a great winemaking team. All that being said, the wine didn’t blow me away. There are dozens and dozens of $100+ Cali cabs and this one just didn’t stand out. FWIW, we had the Dunn HWM the same day and that wine certainly stands out and is well worth the money. Just my view.
Smaug is going to be pissed when he finds out people are selling his horde of wine.
