TN: 2010 Bodega Dominio Buenavista / Veleta Cabernet Sauvignon

This was gift from a friend, thanks Nola! The warden loves her Cabernet and this was perfect with my grilled steak. Yummy.

Great depth of color, maroon and purple with the beginnings of some bricking around the rim. Ripe plum and cut wood aromas. A touch of heat. Delicious red fruit and chambord note on the palate. There’s fresh cut redwood which appears mid palate. Slight drying sensation on the backend. Medium length finish.

Question, I was going to hold on to mine until about year 10 before opening as just finished my 2005s. For those who like more mature wines with more resolved tannins, do you think this is a hold for a few more years? Thanks

Definitely a hold in your case.

This should show a maturity you’re looking for with more time. It’s just beginning that process right now but it’s early.
