TN: Holdredge PinotGris LateHrvst '05...(short/boring)

Shared this last night at BacchusBadBoys:

  1. Holdredge PinotGris LateHrvst Grace’sCuvee RRV (SaH: 36 Brix; RS: 10.0%; 14.4%) John&Carri Holdredge/Healdsburg 2005: Deep gold some cloudy color; very intense peachy/botrytis/apricotty slight Loire-like nose; quite sweet very tart bit alcoholic/hot very intense botrytis/peachy/apricotty flavor; very long/lingering intense botrytis/peachy/apricotty bit alcoholic finish; all about very intense botrytis and showing no signs of evolution/complexity yet; needs more age to show some nuance.

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. Miss seeing John in this little corner of CyberSpace. Looking forward to his next Schioppettino release this Fall.

My “Advanced Searches” on Joseph Swan and Mr Berglund revealed a whole different WB with heavier participation from Mr Holdredge of Holdredgeand other winemakers (including Mr Berglund).

Before my time here…

Yup…John used to show up here on WB quite a lot. He had a great sense of humor & rather sarcastic wit. I miss seeing him here.
