TN: 1950 Cockburn Porto Vintage (Portugal, Douro, Porto)

I think the decant was about two hours. Very interesting at 66 years. It is light, which is a characteristic of the house style and apparently also of the vintage. However, it is right where it should be and is very fresh for 66 ears. I had a couple of 1963s recently and this was fresher. No caramel or burnt sugar flavors and no late port aged nuttiness. Just pure and smooth port fruit flavors with sweetness but no syrup. You can actually drink a full gulp of this if you want, but you wouldn’t, because it is too enjoyable to drink slowly to favor it.
