TN: 2006 Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella

I don’t think there’s ever anything truly “youthful” about a wine made in a Ripasso style, but this has layers of bright Kirsch liqueur and ample acidity underneath a nose of spiced plums, newly dried tobacco leaf and dried bitter orange peel that gives it a clear aromatic signature of an older wine. Like a 22yo who decided to wear his or her grandmother’s perfume. And bloomers.
