2000 Chablis "Sechet" (V.Dauvissat)

2000 Chablis “Sechet” (V.Dauvissat)
Medium golden color.
Fine nose of green lime, sea salt and honey.
Firm, minerally white grapefruit entry led to a ultra dry finish.
A lipsmackin’ young wine with good acid having 3-6 years more development to come.
A fine Chablis.

sounds very fine indeed.

Good to read about Sechet. I have focused on the the GC vineyards and MDT. This post has me looking to try the Sechet from some vintage. Also, caused me to look up where Sechet is compared to other vineyards.

Love the Sechet at Dauvissat.

FWIW, a note from July 2014:

7/14:
This wine was aerated a couple hours before…and what a lovely…wine…long, oyster shells…delicious and viscous. Had some over the next two days and it was still great and holding…just a great Chablis and great wine. How good 1er cru Chablis can be…from Dauvissat!! will hold to 20+…no problem.

I also have a special fondness for Sechet. Dauvissat my favorite, but I also pick up bottles from other producers who put out a bottling (Drouhin, and I could swear I bought some Michel, but I don’t see it under their holdings.) I’m attracted to those little sub areas with enhanced minerality. Fevre les Lys is another.
