TN: 2013 Domaine Robert Sirugue Bourgogne (France, Burgundy, Bourgogne)

  • 2013 Domaine Robert Sirugue Bourgogne - France, Burgundy, Bourgogne (3/23/2016)
translucent ruby color, dried red fruit and bit of oak, linear attack, a bit rustic on the mid palate, the medium finish with red fruit and juicy, mouth watering acidity. nice balance. great QPR. (at around $20)

Thanks for the note, Ryan. I wonder if any of their fruit comes from Vosne.

I recommend the Petit Monts 1er. Great QpR. Only have the 09’ s and at $50 they were a revelation. Desperately looking for 10’s or 12,s.

2013 Vosne VV was really good too.

Not from Appellation Vosne-Romanée - from parcels on the Eastern side of the R.N. (only entitled to Appellation Bourgogne).

I’m drinking the 2014 Bourgogne tonight and it’s delicious: Looks pretty light but there’s a lot to it. I have a Vosne VV and a Petit Monts lined up to try.

Just FWIW:
I had his Grands Echezeaux 2002 10 days ago: quite open, good length, interesting but a bit volatile … (unusual for a ´02)
