I opened a 2010 Rivers Marie Summa vineyard Pinot Noir. . Showing some dark fruits, chocolate, with a soy/mushroom element. Quite good although as it warms up, I get a touch of heat. Will chill it a bit to bring it down to mid 60s temperature wise.

Here’s what we got into. It was my son’s 1st birthday a few days ago so we folded in the 4th celebration with his 1st birthday party. FYI, we’re in Perth, Western Australia, so this was actually yesterday. The French heavy selection was in recognition of their assistance in the Revolution. Or at least that’s what I like to tell myself!
