Help with Northern Rhone Style wines

Hey Guys got a blind tasting next Friday acc trying to figure out what would be a good wine to bring. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a particular country? Northern Rhone style can be from anywhere…
Also what do you have access to, it all depends on what the stores have in your area.

I was hoping from America, I have some Syrah. And I’m from Northern VA

Copain.

Find it on wine searcher, some NE retailers carry at least the basic bottling, Tous Ensemble. If you can find the Halcon Vineyard SVD, grab it. A wonderful expression of syrah. It’s not French, but it is made in more traditional, old world approach.

I´s close to impossible to suggest anything if unknown
a) what´s available for you
b) what other wines are in the tasting (age, country, quality level … colour?)

If I really don´t know anything I´d simply chose a good mature Northern Rhone, e.g. a 1991 Cote Rotie or Cornas or a 1989/90 Hermitage.
