Capablanca 2013 Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills???

I got an email on this wine from WineAccess.com. I see a bunch of people have it on Cellartracker, but there are no notes there.

Has anybody heard of this? Claim is a winery that came up with the juice has outpointed SeaSmoke 4 years in a row. Anybody have any info on this wine?

Sounds like if would be worth taking a chance on this. TIA

Hey guys and gals, I’m sure somebody out there has info on this wine and the probable winery who is dumping this juice. No doubt somebody has bought some and tried it. Some info please!!

Nope. Never heard of it. For $17, though, why don’t you just take a shot at it? It’s not that big a risk.

I gave it a go for $17 shipped and while not quite living up to the sales tasting note (shocking, I know), it is a very good pinot; one of the best I’ve had at that price. Aromatic cherry pinot nose that follows through on the palate with some additional spice, good fruit, and enough acidity to balance it out. I don’t drink enough pinot to know if it is classic SRH, but a nice daily drinker.
