TN: 1998 Marc Rougeot-Dupin Montrachet

  • 1998 Marc Rougeot-Dupin Montrachet - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru (10/22/2014)
Quite a dark orange colour but the wine showed ok for its age. It had plenty of butterscotch and a little brulee on the nose. It actually freshened up with air and had some spiced pear and candied lemon notes. The palate was full and creamy with a slightly lactic feel. There was a distinctive custard apple taste and length was decent although acidity is very soft.
