2009 Chateau Boswell Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

This was an amazing wine from start to finish. Not decanted, but the bottle stood opened for 6 hours prior to consumption. The viscosity of this seems to float in your mouth; it is so smooth that it seems to defy laws of gravity. Perfectly balanced and ripened dark berries and fruits tied with complimentary oak impress your palate. There is no mistake that this wine is Californian. There is no mistake that this wine has all elements perfectly integrated and that this is elegance in liquid form. The finish is extremely lengthy and prompts you to take another sip. This is close to perfection for me. I wish that I could still source more. Absolutely delicious!

God, and I thought German wine names were long and complicated…

Can their be any wine name more ridiculous than “Château Boswell”???
OK, come to think of it, there’s Château Brown in Bordeaux… but I still think “Boswell” (very English) and Château (very French) just don’t go together.
